Organogenesis is seeking a motivated IT Technician I. This job reports to the IT Support Services Manager. The position performs installations, modifications and repairs on PC's and peripheral devices. Installs software upgrades when required. Executes technical support services to end users of Organogenesis' personal computer systems. This position responds to user problems for both software and hardware applications, and runs diagnostics on computer hardware. The IT Technician is responsible for tracking hardware and software inventory, document, track and monitor issues to ensure a timely resolution. Provide user training on the use of standard software. This position is on-site and Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities

• Answer the user's phone calls/emails in a courteous and friendly manner
• Responsible for assisting all customers with their questions about any of our supported software and computing platforms to the best of his/her ability, in a professional and courteous manner.
• Should always be willing to find answers to all questions addressed to them.
• Should be ready to research questions using a variety of resources and to work with other IT team members and OI staff in answering any customer's question.
• Setup and upgrade workstations/laptops for Oreganogenesis employees.
• Setup peripheral equipment as required.
• Support remote employees.
• Are expected to stay abreast of current news, system information, problems, changes and updates relevant to our user community.
• Suggesting steps for prevention of future problems.
• Tracks all help desk requests and updates status through the OI help desk tracking system.

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalency required. Associates Degree or higher, preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience in a help desk support role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle pressure
• Technical proficiency in the following: Windows 2000/2003/XP, Active Directory, Office 2000/2003/XP (Microsoft certifications preferred).
